why is it?

When these have made me SO VERY TIRED of tomatoes:

Tired of the smell, tired of processing them into various yummy things, tired of fitting bags of sauce into my freezer.  When I swear that I don't care if I don't eat a ripe tomato until July?

But then, I see these (ripe on the vine! on OCTOBER 26th! in Wisconsin!)

And I coo like a happy chicken?
