impromptu recipe development
I kind of blew it on fall crops this year, but I do have a small patch of lettuce with a sheet of remay thrown over it. Every week or so I discover enough lettuce for dinner...not bad for no effort at the end of November.Tonight we had bacon from Pecatonica Valley Farm, so it seemed like a BLT was in order...except for a lack of tomatoes. We debated using a few dried tomatoes, and then I thought--why not tomato pesto?
