Miscellaneous early harvests

A few notable items picked this spring.

I love to grow cabbage, and there is always this stage where I think we don't really eat any more than four a year, really, but then I plant more, ha! I love how it smells when you slice it. And beets! I think they are the closest thing to eating what the earth smells like the first time you get yourhands in the soil in the spring. Total comfort.
